Description of walk route, difficulty level: Walking trails at the Community Campus; wooded, safe trails on the grounds of the Community Campus.

Place of walk: Portsmouth - Urban Forestry Center
Start time of walk: 12:00 p.m.

Length of walk: 1 or 2 miles
(Assume that it will take about 30 minutes to walk one mile.)

Estimated number of participants:  15

Description of walk route, difficulty level: Easy:  The trails lead visitors through scenic fields and woodlands with abundant native plants and wildlife. Featured areas include a mixed deciduous forest, northern hardwoods, salt marsh wetlands, red pine plantations and a stand of mature blue spruce. Included among the trails is a 1⁄4-mile fitness trail with 14 fitness stations as well as a variety of gardens with wheelchair-accessible walkways.

Description of walk route, difficulty level: From the school grounds to Dennett Street to Mill Pond Street.  Possibility of taking shorter route for kindergarten and grade 1.

Length of walk: 2.5 miles (the signature "Step It Up Seacoast" downtown walk.
(Assume that it will take about 30 minutes to walk one mile.)

Description of walk route, difficulty level: The Step It Up Seacoast Downtown walk (www.Stepitupseacoast.org) Takes walkers through some of the most beautiful parts of Portsmouth, starting and ending at the South Mill Pond and circling around the downtown section, Strawbery Banke and the gardens.  Difficulty Level - easy
