Walk NH Week 2008 Testimonials!

(This is just a small sample of the many notes we received from walk organizers when they returned their walk event report forms to us.)

We finished the "Walk" today with more than usual number of Cub Scout participants to the usual "Pack Hike". We all had a great time. Thanks for allowing us to be involved in a great program. I hope all your events go well for everyone this week as it did for us -- Good luck!

I’m very excited to tell you that we had 25 walkers, which was more than we anticipated! Everyone had a great time, the weather couldn’t have been better, and the walk around the lake provided some beautiful views. Best of all, everyone had so much fun that we’re talking about getting a group together on a weekly basis to walk.

The walk went well- Families had fun and are eager to do it next year and many have started to start their own personal walking program.

The folks who participated really enjoyed it. The local grade school did a walk last week for the Walk NH so I am hoping that next year we can partner the school and get families involved.

Our first attempt to walk was foiled by a bear in the cemetery on our route so we were ushered back into the school. Our walk took place on a misty, wet afternoon, but we all enjoyed the event.

We were very pleased with the turnout we had for our first time and are looking forward to celebrating Walk NH Week next year.

We had a great time! We gave out an IPOD shuffle and four $25 gift certificates as prizes. Thanks and we hope to do this again next year…

We had a beautiful day for our walk quite a few people came and picked up information (they were at a OSHA work seminar and had a break) and asked about WALK NH . We even had people from New York who came to walk that were looking for things to do in NH on the community calendar. Thank you so much for making this happen, hopefully next year more people will join us.

We will be walking once a week for the summer and early autumn.

The girls were funny- they actually enjoyed walking and racing each other around the track! I am going to plot out some other routes for the summer and do some scavenger hunts as well- it will work towards some badge activity too! Thanks for getting us started! SUBSEQUENT E-MAIL SAID: There are more girls coming for our now instituted weekly walks for the summer. I also had several adults come walk for their first time ever! Thank you for the prizes- The kids thought the T-shirts were Great!

The weather was perfect and the walk was thoroughly enjoyed by all! Lots of our walkers asked “When are we going to do this again?!” The hats, T-shirts and water bottles were a big hit and lots of students are walking around proudly wearing their Walk NH stickers! Thanks you for the support.

Rain did not stop the WWW, Wonderful Women Walking Group from completing their 1.5 mile walk on June 6, 2008. The group has been walking together every Friday morning for ten years.

We didn’t have as many as we hoped, but had a great time and ideas for next year.

Thank you so much for the t-shirts, water bottles and hats. We gave 10 water bottles away a day via raffle and staff raffle items given away daily. It was so much fun.
Thanks again, looking forward to next year.
